Its still true pagan, the inverted pentagram with the goats head is a symbolism of the pagan horned god of the earth. It was one stolen by satanists.

Actually, Orginal Satanism is alot like Paganism(or forms of it anyways). Original satanism is Believing in Mother Earth and Nature. So The whole "oh you're a satanist?! DEVIL WORSHIPPER!" is a bunch of bullshit. so yeah

By satanism, I was speaking of the type started by Levay. The type that do worship "Satan". The only reason he started the Satanic church was an excuse to have orgies anyway. People who worship mother earth are not called Satanists. Satan is a Christian concept and pagans do not believe in any Christian concept. People who worship mother Earth and call themselves Satanists, are idiots who dont have a clue.

I know. I'm pagan and my sister's Wiccan. This is a close-up of a necklace that is right-side-up. You're probably seeing the stag's chin as another point, but on the necklace it is just overlaid on the pentacle.

Also, inverted pentacles are often used in paganism. They're called banishing pentacles.

Banishing pentacle. They're just pentacles drawn from a different starting point meant to banish negative energy.

That symbol is part of an inverted pentagram with the goats head?
If so it is not true Pagan my friend.

Stolen it may be but it is no longer used by true pagans and I very rarely see it or mention of it in any of my studies.

Actually, my parents quite believe in the Stag as our.. Hm, Symbol? We actually have a medium sized Stag statue that we use during our rituals. And I quite assure you we are true pagans.

That doesn't look like a stag to me..it resembles something else. The stag is indeed a symbol of a God.

Well I suppose it's whatever someone interprets it.

As for I it is a symbol for the go, nothing demonic in any way what so ever.

I know, but a lot of these people who call themselves true pagans are unaware of the fact that it is a true pagan symbol. True pagans do still use it.

None that I've heard of...I'll keep an eye out for it but every true pagan I know wouldn't go near it now.

That could be because of a combination of things, mostly being that they hate being stereotyped as satanists and dont want ignorant people to think so, and also because a majority of people I have met who call themselves Wiccans and pagans dont know enough about its origons.

The people I know are not new to Paganism or ignorant and the majority of them are not Wiccan, neither am I.
Whatever the origins of the symbol I certainly would not want to be linked to it either, I have had enough grief from people assuming Pagan means a connection to the devil as it is.

I do understand what you mean, pagans are unjustly linked to satanism. I was just saying that some pagans dont understand a lot about the practises, I've heard of high witches who believe in the existance of black and white magic, when magic uses in all forms is down to opinion. I wasnt labelling you in specifically, but a lot of others.

No, it's from a necklace. It's a pentacle with a stag on it. Much more majestic. :)
